Positively UK at Black Pride

UK Black Pride is a safe space to celebrate diverse sexualities, gender identities, cultures, gender expressions and backgrounds and represent and celebrate LGBTQI+ Black and POC culture through education, the arts, cultural events and advocacy.
Positively UK will have a stall at this year's Black Pride to display posters and leaflets about our services and answer questions about HIV. For more information please contact Bea at 07738 241837.

Women’s Group: Girl Power, Quiz Lunch!

Join us for another empowering women’s group session! This month we will host a quiz lunch to empower ourselves with knowledge, and support and most importantly have fun! This will be an opportunity to make connections and build friendships with other women living with HIV. The quiz theme will be Girl Power and topics will be related to feminist icons and history, body parts, sexuality and sex!
This group welcomes everyone who identifies as a woman, including transgender and non-binary individuals. It is specifically for women living with HIV in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. For more information please contact Susana at sdeoliveira@positivelyuk.org.

Brent Support Group: A Group Walk

for 3 hours
For this month’s Brent Support Group session, we are excited to offer a Group Walking Exercise at Stonebridge Park. This outing is in response to client requests, especially from those who were unable to attend the last event at Green Park due to distance, mobility issues, or health concerns. Our clients have expressed a desire to enjoy more outdoor activities during the warm months before winter sets in. We will meet at the Brent HUB Community Enterprise Centre at 11am and begin our walk to the park at 11:30am. We look forward to seeing you there! Personal Development, Work and Skills Programme
The three months programme is available to anyone living with HIV in the UK who is looking for a safe peer-supported space to connect with others and learn about applying for work, identifying their skills, setting professional goals and planning how to achieve them. As well as offering guidance, support and an accountable plan of action, bespoke to your needs and ambitions along with a dedicated Work and Skills mentor for the duration of the course. There will also be the opportunity to attend additional workshops on Welfare Benefits and the Equality Act, disclosure and reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
The online sessions are interactive and include a mixture of information, confidence building and small group discussions to share ideas and learning. There will be the option for people based in and around London to attend some in person/hybrid training sessions however the whole online the course if open to anyone anywhere in the UK.
If you're living anywhere in the UK, you'll be able to access the programme online through Zoom group webinars, along with online one-to-one mentoring and peer support.
