Title: Recently diagnosed workshops

Description:

Are you recently diagnosed or having difficulty coming to terms with an HIV diagnosis? Come to workshops aimed at helping you deal with your diagnosis and gain the knowledge and tools to live well with HIV.

 

The workshops include:

  • Dealing with the impact of a diagnosis
  • Opportunities to share experiences and hear others stories
  • Information on treatment and U=U
  • Talking about our HIV with others
  • Sex, dating and relationships
  • Emotional and physical wellbeing
  • Where to get further information and support

Title: Let’s Talk About Chemsex

Provider: Terence Higgins Trust Together We Can

Venue: Online

Start time: 18:00 hours

Description:

These sessions are for gay and bisexual men and who take part in chemsex and would like to make a positive change to their use of chems. This means they won’t ask you to stop your chems use completely if this is not your goal. You may want to explore how to use more safely, and how to protect yourself and others. In order for the group to be effective, and for you to get the most from it, they do ask that you set yourself a realistic goal personal to you, which the group will support you to achieve.

 

When is the group?

The group will run weekly in the evenings at 6pm. Sessions will last for up to two hours and run for six consecutive weeks.

What will the group cover?

  • Your current relationship with chems and chemsex
  • Your goals for making a positive change with respect to your use of drugs, which can include alcohol
  • Identifying and managing triggers and cravings
  • Lapse management and urge surfing
  • Surveying the challenges ahead and setting goals

Title: Interview techniques - Work and Skills workshop 4

Provider: Terence Higgins Trust Together We Can

Venue: Online

Start time: 10:30 hours

Description:

The sessions are available to anyone living with HIV who is looking for a safe, peer-supported space to connect with others. 
In this session, they will look at the dos and don'ts of preparing for and performing at interviews, including online and panel interview situations.
The sessions are interactive and include a mixture of information and small group discussions to share ideas and learning. On the day, you can join the meeting via video or audio and will need either a phone, tablet or computer.
The meetings use Zoom, video conferencing software that you can use to access online meetings for free.
The session is never recorded, and your data is protected as per our privacy policy
